Crispy Jerk Cashews
If you’ve ever had a snack that made you think “I just need one more handful” these cashews are it. They are tossed in our Tingling Jerk Marinade, kissed with a touch of maple sweetness, and baked until perfectly crisp. A sprinkle of cornstarch before roasting gives them that addictive crunch that keeps you coming back for more.
Whether you are making a batch for game night, gifting them in jars, or adding a little Caribbean spice to your charcuterie board, these jerk nuts deliver a flavor punch that is anything but boring.
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Dust the cashews: In a large bowl, toss cashews with the cornstarch until lightly coated. This step helps the marinade stick and gives you that perfect crisp.
3. Mix the flavor base: In a separate bowl, whisk together Tingling Jerk Marinade, maple syrup, oil, brown sugar, salt, and cayenne if using.
4. Coat the cashews: Add the cornstarch-dusted cashews to the marinade mix and toss until every nut is evenly coated.
5. Bake: Spread the cashews in a single layer on your baking sheet. Roast for 13 to 15 minutes, stirring halfway through. Keep a close eye in the last few minutes as they can go from golden to burnt quickly.
6. Cool completely: Let them sit for 20 to 30 minutes. They will crisp up as they cool so do not skip this step.
